Last updated: 2026-06-10. We try to collect the minimum, be explicit about it, and never sell or share what we do collect.
What we collect.
Analytics, only if you accept. When you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. It runs in Consent Mode: until you accept, GA4 receives only cookie-less pings that can't identify you. If you decline, it stays that way forever on this device.
Your email, when you submit a form. If you give us your email to receive the Handbook, the Mental Models Playbook, or to join a waitlist, we store it in Airtable so we can send the thing you asked for. The form submission also stores the page you submitted from and the lead-source tag (e.g., Handbook).
Standard server logs. Our host (Vercel) keeps short-lived request logs (IP, user-agent, path) that we use only for debugging and abuse prevention.
What we don't do.
- No advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, no third-party trackers.
- No selling or renting of email lists.
- No cross-site behavioral profiling.
- No newsletter subscription unless you explicitly opt in.
Your rights.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold by emailing brian@bethirdbrain.com. We honor opt-out and deletion requests within seven days.
To revoke analytics consent on this device after previously accepting, clear cookies for bethirdbrain.com in your browser; the next visit will show the banner again.
